Two CSX GP38-2's hide behind a clump of trees. The real reason I didn't venture any closer is that a CSX Railroad Police Tahoe was sitting in the driveway just out of frame. If I was in uniform I would be tempted to try and get closer, but being in my street clothes I don't think he would have let me on the property.

You know, you're probably right about being in uniform. The day I got invited onto BNSF property by an employee was the day I stopped by the yard while still in my uniform.

It's makes a difference. I was really surprised. I guess it boils down to is trust. It reassure them that, since you are in uniform, you are not there to cause any trouble.

Exactly. Of course, I know I can't justify putting on my uniform every time I go down to the yard, but it sure would help. :lol:
