Description

"Common Power" was the excuse Railpics used when they rejected a few of my shots of these units. I guess GEVO's and Dash-9's are really rare.
Ohio Central SD18M #6642, GP11 #8712, and GP10 #7591.

Yeah, really. I mean, when was the last time you actually SAW a Dash-9? I'm willing to bet if it weren't that excuse, they'd throw up "high sun," "bad cropping," "unlevel horizon" or some other bogus reason why your image shouldn't be on their site. I've even played their game and screwed my works over just to see what would happen. They "respectfully requested" that I cease attempting to submit the work. I had a request for something they could do too, but I kept that to myself... Anyways. :D

I think the real reason though was that it wasn't a UP or BNSF lashup. That's all I see on there nowadays... And I'd like to know what's so "common" about OHCR, being that I lived in Ohio for three years, railfanned there for one, and saw a SINGLE locomotive with that livery, sitting on a siding in Columbus, hidden behind a bridge and almost missed had I not seen the tracks running by the road. And I've never even heard of an SD18M. :noes:

Anyway, I do like the angle, though I would have left a little more space on the right side so 6642 doesn't feel like she's being crowded into that side of the shot. :D
